Scone Mixes

$9.99

Our scone mixes are perfect for anyone that enjoys freshly baked treats but does not have a lot of time. The ingredients needed to make them are pantry staples so they could be whipped up at any time.

Did you know, scones began as a Scottish quick bread. Originally they were made with oats and prepared on the griddle. Today’s version, however, is more often made with flour and baked in the oven. Some say the word “Skone” originated from the Dutch word ‘schoonbrot’, which means beautiful bread. Scones originated, however, in Scotland in the early 1500s as stated by Webster's Dictionary..

Blueberry Lemon: Blueberry lemon is the perfect combination of flavors. Great for breakfast, afternoon tea or as a bread option at dinner. I love to serve blueberry lemon scones. When I make home made corn chowder, I serve them warm, dripping with butter and Dalby Farm Blueberry Preserves! Delicious! Just add an egg, butter and milk to the scone mix and it won't be too long before the room is filled with an aroma that will drive everyone crazy!

Ingredients: Enriched bleached wheat flour, malted barley flour, blueberries, sugar, baking powder, lemon peel, salt.

English Tea: These scones are delicious as part of your breakfast, especially when served warm with butter and some of our Blueberry or Triple Crown preserves. Of course, they are always a welcome part of afternoon tea too!

Ingredients: Enriched bleached wheat flour, malted barley flour, sugar, baking powder, salt.

Cranberry Orange: Cranberry orange is a delightful combination of flavors! I love to spread lots of butter and our cranberry orange marmalade over warm scones when they’re just out of the oven. Delicious!

Ingredients: Enriched bleached wheat flour, malted barley flour, Craisins, orange peel, sugar, baking powder, salt

Apple Cinnamon: The scones made from this Apple Cinnamon Scone Mix are a perfect breakfast item. Pair them with a bowl of fresh fruit or some hot oatmeal, and you are on your way to having a great day! This Apple cinnamon scone mix is perfect for anyone that enjoys freshly baked treats but does not have a lot of time. The ingredients needed to make them are pantry staples so they could be whipped up at any time.

Ingredients: Enriched bleached wheat flour, malted barley flour, apples, baking powder, sugar, cinnamon, salt.

Double Chocolate: These double chocolate scones are a delicious and tasty dessert option. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream and top with whipped cream..or for even more decadence, smother with hot chocolate or marshmallow topping too!! Of course, double chocolate scones would be great with afternoon tea too or as an after school snack!!

Ingredients: Enriched bleached wheat flour, malted barley four, chocolate chips, cocoa, sugar, baking powder and salt.

Parmesan Garlic: Parmesan garlic scones are a delicious compliment to any Italian themed supper. When you dab them in the tomato sauce, it is heavenly! They are also a wonderful option when serving soups or stews. There are some, however, who prefer to make a nice fresh salad, with all the mixings, and have these scones instead of a traditional bread. There is nothing more mouth-watering than when you serve these scones warm with melted butter dripping off of them!

Ingredients: Malted barley flour, enriched bleach wheat flour,  parmesan cheese, baking powder, garlic, salt.

Caramel Toffee Scone Mix: This caramel and toffee scone mix is the perfect solution for anyone that  enjoys freshly baked items but doesn't have a lot of time. The combination of caramel and toffee is amazing! These scones are a wonderful dessert option, especially when served warm with ice cream with hot fudge or caramel drizzled on top. A spoonful of whipped cream always makes things better too! When not served as a dessert, they are the perfect companion for an afternoon cup of tea. No matter how or when you serve them, they are a must for your pantry. Unique and decadent!

Ingredients: Enriched Bleached Wheat Flour, Malted Barley Flour, Butterscotch Chips, Toffee Bits, Sugar, Baking Powder, Salt.
