NEW!
August 10th - 14th (Monday - Friday) | 9:30 - 11:30 each day.
For your convenience, drop-off begins at 9am.
This new program is designed for children entering 6th - 9th grade. Each day of the 5 day program, will focus on a different farm breed living at Dalby Farm. Every day will begin with a learning session so that the child has a greater understanding of the ‘focus animal of the day’.
From there the caregiving will begin. There will be options ranging from washing dishes/buckets to being in the stall sweeping/scraping the animal living areas. We offer different levels of ‘hands on’ so that the child can decide how in depth they would like to be.
Program Fee: $195 per child |
Due today: $50 non-refundable deposit (+ $5 processing fee, not counted toward the program fee balance of $145 due by JUNE 30th, 2026)
Bring your materials, your curriculum and your students- find your designated Study Spot on the farm and learn your way! A customizable homeschool venue for 2 farm fresh hours! If you are adding to your group of 6 or more, please visit this page to add extra people.
Groups will have access to a Dalby Farm Educator to answer any questions you may have during your learning journey! Groups also get to participate in the daily farm activity (always optional) at no extra cost.
Farm activities may include:
-Animal Enclosure Exploration
-Chicken Coop Care
-Egg Harvesting, Cleaning & Storage
-Bunny Socialization Sessions
-Sitting with Sheep
-Nature Trail Find & Seek
-Animal Enrichment: Tried & True; Trial & Error!
Please note: Our homeschool hours are intended to become a place for multiple small homeschool groups to learn and enjoy the world of farming in their own ways… together.
We see the potential socialization as a huge bonus, though interactions with other groups is not mandatory. We just want it to be clear that this is not a private group offering. In our perfect scenario, you will see other groups around - but you’ll all have your own spot to use for your particular goals that day.
That said, there is always going to be a limited number of groups - to ensure those who are here have the best possible experience! Be sure to book before they fill :)

Our Farm Fun in the Sun Toddler Enrichment Time is packed with your favorite farm “chores” (collecting eggs, feeding and caring for the animals) but it has the added bonus of SUMMER FUN! That means we PLAY with WATER! We give the animals things to play with and ways to cool down to enhance their quality of life!
Some weeks we will offer a fun farm craft!
Join us for a full session, or take advantage of our drop in passes!
Don’t be intimidated! We are only “lightly” structured when it comes to our toddler programs. Each week’s chosen offerings are optional, and if your little(s) prefer to wander and explore the farm on their own or hang near the toys, go for it!
After our “chat”, the farm is open for whatever form of fun suits you!
Our goal is to encourage positive, memorable exposure to farm animals; leaving all feeling refreshed and connected to nature in ways they never imagined!
This is not a drop off program, caregivers must remain with the children… but from what we can tell- they enjoy farm time just as much as the kids!
Please note a $5 convenience fee is included in the deposit amount. You are welcome to mail us the deposit for $100 (POB 341 Scituate MA) or drop it off!
Please note: Each session of the learning program is mutually exclusive; each week has different material and is considered to be a separate program.
For those that might not want to book an actual party, or for those that have birthdays that fall during the time of year when we don’t offer party options, but want to do something special, our Birthday Scavenger Hunt & Farm Visit is for you!!
During this 60 minute visit, as with any animal encounter, you will have the usual feed/hay for the animals that are provided. However, in addition to that, the guest of honor will be given a special birthday badge to wear and we will have a birthday themed scavenger hunt set up around the farm for you!
It is as simple as it sounds, and it’s lovely!
Schedule time to join Kendall for a “Sitting with the Sheep” session.
Many ages can enjoy this activity, must be reliably walking or babies must be worn with carrier.
Several people can be in with them at once, but Kendall may use her judgment to add/reduce depending on how the energy is in the pen.
You may also like to book this just for yourself, or someone you know if you/they are prone to stress and burnout. Children and adults alike have a lot to gain from this simple but calming experience.
While they are not certified therapists, we can assure you our little flock have a way of helping the worries of your world disappear while in their company.
The price of this booking will covers up to 4 people into the pen for 30 minutes, and include 20-30 minutes to browse the farm to see the rest of our animal family with some hay/grain to feed them.
Please book your session and indicate in the form what your preferred date is for the day/time you selected. Kendall will reach out immediately to discuss availability.
Book a recurring session for a reduced rate, and to build a real relationship with the sheep!
Sheep you soon!

A great opportunity for new parents/caregivers to get out with their infants, to relax, meet other new parents and enjoy casual visit around the endangered farm animals.
This visiting hour is also open to toddlers and caregivers as well.
Whether you are a new mom, grandparent or a caregiver, if you have a newborn or toddler and enjoy visiting with attentive and adorable farm animals, then our new 'Wander and Stroll' program is for you!
Our 'stroller friendly' walkways provide a great way for you to wander through the farm! Come alone with your child or create a new weekly adventure, and bring a friend (add to your group here!)… There is nothing like strolling through the farm on a crisp, sunny Spring day.
We have a lovely picnic table area, shaded by the nearby white pines. It is a perfect place to sit and surround yourself with farm animal chatter, sip a cup of coffee and enjoy the tranquil environment. Ideal area to change or nurse your baby too. Feel free to bring your own picnic for a special toddler afternoon! (Please bring all trash with you when you leave).
There are a few open activities (Sand box, toddler slide, interactive viewing into chicken coop, etc)., and you will be able to feed the animals - but this visit is otherwise unstructured / at your own pace.
No pets allowed, our roaming chickens and farm family are not prepared for that and it presents a potential safety issue, thank you!
Add to your group here.
Please note: In check-out, “Stroller” refers to a child in a carrier/stroller (that does not walk).
